Clough Acquires US-Based Boutique LNG Engineering Firm and Enters the Local Gas Market

Johannesburg, 08 August 2014 - Clough, the Australian based oil & gas engineering and construction company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Murray & Roberts, today announced a US$5 million acquisition of CH-IV International. CH-IV is a boutique engineering company, based in the United States of America ("US") and highly regarded in liquefied natural gas ("LNG") concept, Front End Engineering and Design ("FEED"), detailed design and owner's engineering arena, with capabilities and credibility across micro, midscale andlarge scale LNG.

CH-IV would bolster Clough's LNG engineering, jetties & terminals, commissioning and brownfields capabilities and it brings strong LNG process and operational capabilities.  Its presence and expertise in the more developed US small and midscale LNG and shale gas markets will facilitate entry into these markets for Clough, as they develop globally. CH-IV would also provide Clough with expertise for projects including BP Tangguh (Indonesia) FEED, Prelude Floating LNG and LNG studies for the later expansion of the current wave of Australian LNG projects.
